About Rubin Employment Law
Why Employers Work with Alix RubinAbout Rubin Employment Law
Our Mission
Rubin Employment Law helps employers and employees stop fighting—so everyone can get back to business. Our mission is to help businesses thrive by reducing the likelihood that their greatest asset — their people — becomes their greatest liability.
Founded by Alix Rubin in 2010, the firm partners with employers to prevent workplace disputes whenever possible and to resolve them efficiently when they can’t be avoided. With more than 30 years of experience litigating and negotiating employment matters, Alix brings a practical, strategic approach grounded in real-world outcomes.
What We Do
We help organizations strengthen culture, reduce risk, and avoid costly disruptions through three core services:
Employment Best Practices & Preventive Guidance
Most workplace disputes can be minimized through consistent policies and procedures that comply with the law while supporting employees to do their best work. We’ve helped hundreds of employers across New Jersey and New York implement these safeguards, including through our Peace of Mind™ program.
Employment Mediation
When a dispute escalates, mediation is often the most cost-effective and least disruptive path to resolution. As a court-appointed neutral mediator in New Jersey since 2015, Alix has mediated multiple employment matters — helping parties reach workable outcomes without the expense and strain of litigation.
Internal Workplace Investigations
When employee complaints or allegations arise, timely and thorough investigations matter. Rubin Employment Law conducts workplace investigations involving misconduct and other sensitive issues, helping employers respond appropriately, document findings, and reduce exposure. We have conducted dozens of internal investigations for employers across the country.
The Result
Our work enhances productivity and profitability by supporting compliance with ever-changing employment laws and keeping employee disputes to a minimum — so leadership can stay focused on running the business, not managing conflict.
