Employment Law Attorney

Seeking Part-Time Experienced Employment Law Associate

We’re seeking a part-time employment law associate who will be responsible for all aspects of clients’ matters, including designing policies and strategies, negotiating agreements, drafting letters, employee handbooks, pleadings, and briefs, arguing motions, mediating cases, and preparing for and attending hearings and trials.

Responsibilities

The part-time associate will be responsible for all aspects of clients’ matters, including:

  • Designing policies, procedures, and strategies
  • Providing sound and practical employment law advice
  • Drafting letters, employee handbooks, and pleadings
  • Negotiating and mediating resolutions to disputes
  • Conducting discovery
  • Writing legal briefs
  • Arguing motions in court
  • Preparing for and attending hearings and trials

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an active member of the New Jersey Bar (and New York Bar preferred)
  • Have experience independently and skillfully handling employment law matters in New Jersey (and New York preferred) for both employers and employees, including counseling, negotiating, mediating, and litigating
  • Be a self-starter, quick learner, highly motivated and ethical
  • Have a solid ability to work both independently and with a team in the office as well as remotely, as necessary
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic with high standards for quality of work and integrity
  • Be compassionate, personable, and professional when interacting with clients, colleagues, and co-workers
  • Be able and willing to adapt quickly to new ways of working
  • Be able to work 20-25 hours per week

Compensation

$60,000 to $75,000 annually
